MatrixLocker

Pick a folder path, select a lock method, click the Lock Folder button – it is that simple to lock and hide a folder with the free, lightweight, and portable application MatrixLocker. There is one thing that must be pointed out here: the application puts several lock methods at your disposal. 19 lock methods to be more precise.

I mentioned above that MatrixLocker is a portable application. This means that you won’t have to go through a setup or installation process. To get started with the application, you need only download and run an executable. An executable that weighs in at less than 1MB in size. An executable that will work with any Windows edition from Windows 8.1 down to Windows 2000.

There are two tabs in the upper left hand corner of the application’s very simple interface:
Menu – specify a folder path, pick a lock method, lock/unlock folders.

Using MatrixLocker is a very simple 3-step process:
Step 1 – select a folder path. Pick the Browse button and pick any folder you want.
Step 2 – pick a lock method. There are 19 methods to choose from: CSC Folder, DXP, Recycle Bin, and 16 more.
Step 3 – click the Lock Folder button to, well, lock the folder you selected.

At the time of writing this, MatrixLocker is free software. Or as the developer put it, MatrixLocker is “freeware for now”.
